Foliar Feeding vs. Root Feeding

The powder in Volcanimax Gro is slow releasing, which is the best way to provide nutrients to a plant. This is ideal because it allows access of critical nutrients and minerals to the plant for a longer length of time than a fast releasing fertilizer. More than 75% of the powder is ground up fine enough to fit through a 200 mesh, while the remainder is small enough to fit through the 325 mesh. Not many volcanic powders are ground up this fine! And not to mention work this well...

Since the Subglacial Volcanic Powder at Volcanimax Gro is classified as very fine, this creates easily accessible nutrients for beneficial micro organisms. This unlocks nutrients for plants and maximizes the biodiversity within the soil.

The Benefits of Foliar Spray Application

Application of these fine minerals through a Foliar Spray is ideal for plants, as it turns on the plant metabolism more efficiently (as seen in photo above). Photosynthesis is much more successful when the volcanic powder is applied directly on to leaves in a Foliar Spray solution, as the majority of photosynthesis happens on the leaves.

Foliar Spray supports plant growth because...

  • Leaves absorb nutrients faster than roots
  • More effective than feeding roots in the case of treating plant nutritional deficiencies
  • Substitute way for plants that experience poor root absorption
  • Restores plant health
  • Leaf surfaces rapidly absorb nutrients
  • Increases plant yield and maximizes plant growth as well as enhancing the taste.
  • Much more cost effective than fertilizing practices

Foliar Spray product available in 227 g packages. This fine powder is 95-99% soluble.

Our website provides helpful user instructions on how to add the volcanic powder into a home-made Foliar Spray solution.

  1. Add 1.0 grams of Volcanimax Gro Subglacial Powder into a 1 gallon sprayer
  2. Add 1 gallon of water into sprayer and shake vigorously to dissolve and suspend VMG powder
  3. Ensure spray mist is set to very fine
  4. Spray mist on to plants two or three times every week

Note: Adding too much Volcanimax Gro Subglacial Powder will result in the burning of plants. Too much nutrients is not good for the plant, as the plant must have time to absorb the concentrated amount of minerals in the Volcanimax Gro products. This can cause unwanted discoloration of leaves or even kill the plant.

The Benefits of Soil Amendment Application

It is a diverse world within the soil of growing plants, the uptake of nutrients and minerals is more complicated than some may think! It has been proven that soil fertilization is slower acting than foliar spray plant enhancement and poses a higher risk of essential minerals and nutrients leaching out! However, this does not mean that a soil enhancement is not beneficial to the growth of plants in a different way... A planted seed goes out to find available nutrients and water to feed its growth in more ways than one.

An intricate system is in place from the organism Mychorrizal Fungi.

This systems creates a symbiotic relationship between the fungi hyphae and the plants rhizosphere, in the exchange of sugars and minerals.

Plants pass on sugars to the hyphae and the hyphae expand an extensive network within the soil for maximized absorption of nutrients within the soil.

Many soils have lost Mycorrhizal Fungi populations from the uses of fungicides and pesticides, along with residential and commercial areas limiting the accessibility for Mycorrhizal Fungi populations to succeed. One of Volcanimax Gro's main objectives is to increase these populations for the soils to become abundant in Mychorrizal populations once again for the optimization of plant growth and increased crop yield!

Soil Amendment / Enhancement is our primary product currently in 907g packages with 90% plus soluble.

In the meantime... our website provides helpful user instructions on how to add the volcanic powder into a home-made Soil Enhancement.

  1. Add 1.5 grams of Volcanimax Gro Subglacial Powder into a 1 gallon root watering solution

OR

  1. Add  Volcanimax Gro Subglacial Powder sparingly to a soil mixture using 2 grams per gallon of soil
  2. Approximately at a rate of 0.05% of Volcanimax Gro Subglacial Powder per 1 gallon of soil / compost mixture

Note: Adding too much Volcanimax Gro Subglacial Powder will result in the burning of plants. Too much nutrients is not good for the plant, as the plant must have time to absorb the concentrated amount of minerals in the Volcanimax Gro products. This can cause severe root damage.
